Savings Accounts

ACCU offers its members a variety of ways to save money and earn interest.

Listed below are the various types of deposit accounts available to members.

Regular Share Account

Membership at ACCU begins when you open a share account. This basic savings account ($25 minimum) grants you ownership and voting privileges. Dividends are paid monthly ($100 minimum to earn interest).

Daily Share

This type of account earns more interest than a Regular Share account. Minimum deposit is $2,500. Dividends are paid monthly.

Christmas Club

Save for the upcoming holiday season with our Christmas Club Account. This account earns a monthly dividend as well. It can be opened at any time of the year.

Vacation Club

Save for that special vacation with our vacation club account. This account earns monthly dividends and can be opened at any time. Vacation Club funds can be withdrawn or automatically deposited into your Check Plus account any time.

Certificate Accounts

ACCU offers Certificate Accounts that feature excellent interest rates. There is a $500 minimum balance requirement to open a Certificate Account. In addition, Certificate Accounts may be used as collateral to obtain loans at special rates.

Individual Retirement Accounts *

ACCU offers a variety of IRA's for its members. The IRA's may take the form of CD's which carry a lower minimum balance ($250 as opposed to $500). ACCU offers three types of IRA accounts:

  • Traditional: The standard way to save for retirement. If you qualify under Federal regulations, you may be eligible for a tax deduction.
  • Roth: Tax deferred earnings and possible tax free earnings.
  • Education: Use for any college expenses and pay no taxes when money is drawn for qualified expenses.
